UPSC prelims result 2017 declared

About 13000 candidates have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination, held on June 18, 2017. About 10 lakh candidates had applied for Prelims exam 2017.

Further candidates can obtain any information/clarification regarding their Prelims result on all working days between 10 am to 5 pm, in person or via telephone numbers: 011-23385271, 011-23098543 or 011-23381125.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has agreed to examine a plea on wrong questions in the Prelims exam 2017. As per the plea, two questions in the Prelim exam were wrong. The hearing for it is scheduled on August 1.
The marks cut off marks and answer keys of Prelim examination will be uploaded on the UPSC website only after the entire process of the examination is over i.e. after the declaration of final result.
Candidates who have passed the preliminary exam are now qualified to write the Civil Services (Main) Examination. They have to first get themselves registered online on the UPSC website before filling up the Detailed Application Form (DAF).
Then they will have to apply again in a new Detailed Application Form (DAF) provided to them. They should fill up the DAF and submit the same online to the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in
The Detailed Application Form (DAF) of Civil Service Mains exam will be available from 17 August. It has to be duly filled and submitted to the UPSC website anytime from 17 August to 31 August, 2017 till 6 pm.
The e-admit cards of eligible candidates along with the time table of the main examination will be uploaded on the commission’s website around two weeks before the commencement of the examination.
The Civil Services (Main) examination is scheduled to be held from Saturday, October 28, 2017. Approximately 980 vacancies would be filled through the examination.
