Sabine Lisicki sets record of fastest serve in women’s tennis

German Tennis player Sabine Lisicki was set the record of fastest serve in the women’s tennis by serving at 131 miles per hour during the first-round loss in the Bank of the West Classic Stanford, USA.  

The previous record of fastest serve in women’s tennis was held by Venus Williams achieved at the 2007 US Open, at a speed of 129 miles per hour.

Apart from this, the fastest serve record in the men’s side is held by Australian Sam Groth at a pace of 163.4 miles per hour. This record was created at a Challenger event in South Korea in 2012.
