Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden had a telephonic conversation Yesterday. The leaders discussed regional issues and shared priorities. The India-US relations have matured since India gained independence in 1947. The relations between both the countries have gone through various ups and downs. In the last seven years the relations have seen a new high. 

On Monday, 8th February, Prime Minister Modi spoke to President Biden in a telephonic conversation. Both the leaders have laid emphasis on strategic partnership to maintain peace and security in the Indo-Pacific. They also committed to maintain a rules based international order. In 2019, the overall Indo-US bilateral trade in goods and services reached $149 billion. US actively participated in the just concluded Aero India 2021 held in Bengaluru.It is a reflection of deepening India- Us defence and strategic partnership. Not only this US and Indian armies are currently participating in joint exercise Yudh Abhyas 20. In the telephonic conversation both the leaders have agreed to further co-operate against climate change.

PM Modi has also extended an invitation to President Joe Biden and first lady Dr.Jill Biden to visit India.
