PM Modi In Japan: PM Modi arrived in Tokyo at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. His visit includes the Quad Summit, meeting fellow Quad leaders, interaction with Japanese business leaders and the vibrant Indian community.

What is Quad Summit?

  • Japan-Australia-India-U.S. (Quad).The four countries have been promoting practical cooperation in various fields, including vaccines, infrastructure, climate change, and critical and emerging technologies, to realize a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)."
  • A strategic security dialogue between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States

Main priority for this Summit

  • This Quad summit, the main event of PM Modi's Japan visit, is aimed at bolstering cooperation among the member nations and discussing developments in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • This meeting will provide an opportunity for the two leaders to carry forward their conversations from the 14th India-Japan Annual Summit held in March, when PM Kishida visited India.

This Summit in Tokyo is the fourth interaction of Quad Leaders.
