The 29th edition of Nasscom Technology and Leadership Forum (NTLF) is being organized from 17th – 19th Feb. It is the flagship event of the National Association of Software and Service Companies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the forum on Wednesday via video conferencing.

This is a vibrant platform that brings together key leaders from the world of technology and innovation. The event is hosting almost 1600 participants from more than 30 countries and more than 30 products will be showcased during the three-days of talks.

NTLF 2021 with the overarching theme ‘Shaping the future towards a better normal’ aims to achieve three key objectives – mark as a celebration of technology which has served as a backbone to boost businesses during the crisis, draw a roadmap for the way ahead towards building a better future and bringing out the importance of trust and responsible tech in this hyper virtual world.

February 2021 marks the 29th year of NASSCOM Technology & Leadership Forum – a platform which has been the voice of the 190-billion-dollar industry eco-system.

While addressing the event, PM said, ” The world is looking at India with many expectations. During the Corona pandemic, our technology has not only proved itself but also evolved itself. When the whole world was restricted to the four walls of their homes, our IT sector ran their projects with the same commitment and dedication.”

He added, ” New India is desperate for development. Our government understands this restless desire to grow and achieve success globally. There was a time when we were dependent on other countries for smallpox vaccines. Today, we’re providing other countries ‘Made In India’ vaccines to fight against COVID.”

PM also said, “Our government knows that barriers can never allow future leaderships to develop. Thus, we have tried to remove needless regulations from the technological industry. The National Digital Communication Policy was one such attempt.”

“In a major move, policies regarding mapping & geospatial data have been liberalised for the industry. This step will empower our tech start-up eco-system & further our Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission.”
