Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said she will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.The reason for not attending was that The Trinamool Congress Chief criticized the BJP for spreading lies about political murders in West Bengal.She also accused the BJP of using the August ceremony to score political points.
On the other hand Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik too will not be able to attend the swearing in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his presence is required at the swearing-in of the new Assembly members on Thursday.He is the President of the Biju Janata Dal in Odisha.
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel due to prior commitments too will not attend the swearing in ceremony.

After a landslide victory in Lok Sabha elections 2019, Narendra Modi is all set to take oath as Prime Minister of India for his second term at 7 pm on Thursday. President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council at Rashtraparti Bhavan in New Delhi in front of a large gathering of national and international dignataries.
