Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) recently launched a chatbot to help its users answer various queries . The AI chatbot– Ask Disha- is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and it is aimed at facilitating accessibility by answering users’ queries pertaining to various services offered by IRCTC.
The first-of-its-kind initiative by IRCTC is live and it is already available on the bottom right corner of IRCTC’s revamped website and it will soon be available on IRCTC’s Android app. Besides this, the AI chatbot will be voice enabled and it will support several regional languages in the near future.
“The IRCTC Chat Bot Ask Disha will offer greatly improved and intuitive customer support by answering customer queries pertaining to all aspects of the services that IRCTC provides,” IRCTC said in a statement.
Users can ask questions to the AI chatbot by visiting the IRCTC website. As soon as the users start typing their queries, the AI chatbot automatically starts showing some options based on the typed phrases. Users can then either pick one of the queries from the displayed options or type in the complete question if their query is not being displayed on the screen.
The Ask Disha chatbot has jointly been developed by IRCTC and CoRover Private Limited, which is a Bengaluru-based startup that develops AI and machine learning based chatbots pertaining to travel and tourism.
As far as Ask Disha is concerned, the chatbot comes with a host of features. For starters, the AI chatbot can answer users’ queries quickly. Besides this, it can multi-task and it can provide 24×7 support to the users. Additionally, Ask with Disha users don’t have to wait for their queries to be answered.
