Govt replace 8 percent Saving Bonds with 7.75 percent Bond

The finance Ministry has launched 7.75 percent Saving Bond on 10 January 2018.

According to an official statement, the finance ministry said, the bond is open for investment by individuals (including Joint Holdings) and Hindu Undivided Families. But Non resident Indians are not eligible for making investments.
The price of the bond will be Rs 100 and minimum amount of Rs 1,000. Applications for the Bonds in the form of Bond Ledger Account will be received in the designated branches of agency banks and SHCIL in all numbering about 1600. Accordingly, the issue price, will be Rs 1,000 for every Rs 1,000 (Nominal).
