Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu has dedicated the Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) in Tirupati and two coastal tourism projects taken up under Swadesh Darshan, to the nation. The ICI was designed by National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC).
Developed at an outlay of Rs. 99 crore, it is touted to become one of the top ranking institutes in the country in training aspirants in culinary and hospitality services. The imposing building is developed by NBCC (India) at the 14.21 acre site provided by the State government near the airport in Renigunta. Classes have already begun from the academic year 2016, which are conducted in a temporary campus developed on the premises of State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) in Alipiri.
