The Prime Minister said, when education is imparted in relation to the surrounding environment, the student can develop practical knowledge. He announced the setting up of the National Evaluation Centre, Parakh for overall improvement in the evaluation system. The Prime Minister said, MyGov portal received more than 15 lakh suggestions within a week from teachers on the implementation of the Policy. He said, development of Mathematical thinking and Scientific temperament is of prime importance in children.
The Prime Minister said, a National Assessment Centre PARAKH, for Performance Assessment, ReviewS/ and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development will be established to improve the overall evaluation system.
Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, the new National Education Policy focuses on overall development of students with scientific temperament. He said this will also help in developing strong intellect in students. Dr Pokhriyal said, the new National Education Policy will also bring transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in the country. The Minister said, this policy will ensure universal access to high-quality early childhood care and education across the country.
