The time-table for the Civil Services Mains examination (2015) has been announced. The Mains exam starts on December18, 2015 (Friday) and gets over on December 23, 2015.

The 5-day exam will begin on 18 December with the Essay paper in the morning session and there will be a paper on English n the afternoon.
On 19 December, the morning session will have General Studies-I and afternoon General Studies-II.
There will be no exam on 20 December which happens to be Sunday.
On 21 December, there will be GS-III in the morning session and GS-IV in the afternoon session.
On 22 December, there will be a paper on Indian language in the morning session and there is no exam in the afternoon.
On the final day (23 December), the Optional Paper-I will be in the morning session, followed by Optional Paper-II in the afternoon session.
Altogether, there will be nine written papers in the 5-day-long Mains examination.
The total marks for all the nine papers will be 1,750.
The candidates qualifying in the Mains exam will have to undergo the personality test comprising of 275 marks.
The final selection for the various group services of the Central government will be made adding up the scores of Mains exam and the interview. The cut-off will be made on the basis of the marks scored from the grand total 2025 marks.
