The ranking was conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Union Human Resource Development Ministry.
The institute has improved its rankings and scores on key parameters like Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR), Graduation Outcome (GO) and Outreach & Inclusivity (OI), as compared to last year’s rankings, said a statement from IIT Hyderabad.
“We are pleased be among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country. We are happy to see that our effort over the past one year has helped us improve our performance on certain critical parameters quite significantly. We hope to continue our efforts in the right direction and improve our rankings in the coming years,” said Director U.B. Desai.
IIT Hyderabad scored the best in TLR, getting a score of 82.60 and improving its ranking by 3 places from 9th to 6th. Other than this, the parameter in which the institute has improved the most is OI where it has come down to 22nd rank from 84th rank, a marked improvement from last year
