60 Civil Services aspirants arrested in New Delhi

60 Civil Services aspirants arrested in New Delhi The Delhi police arrested 60 UPSC aspirants who were protesting against the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) demanding more time to prepare for the examination.

These candidates were protesting ever since the UPSC has changed the pattern for the Civil Service (Main) Exam 2013.

They were protesting at the Shahjahan Road in New Delhi, where the offices of the UPSC is located.

Since they were protesting without permission and refused to leave when asked, Police detained them, reported Dailybhaskar.com.

Earlier, as a mark of protest some candidates also took out candlelight march at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

UPSC has changed the pattern for the Civil Service (Main) Exam 2013, where candidates will now provided consolidated question paper-cum-answer book to answer the questions within the space provided.

The aspirants will now require writing the answers below the questions within the space provided in the same booklet. Moreover, the answers written beyond the space provided will not be considered for evaluation.

The UPSC has also intimated the candidates via a note regarding the changes in the answer pattern.

UPSC has also released sample question papers at its official website at: www.upsc.gov.in, where candidates can get an idea about the upcoming UPSC Civil Service  (Mains) Exam pattern 2013.
